Sustainable Plumbing: Save money with water efficient fixtures

Wasting water is costly for you and the environment. This blog showcases plumbing fixtures that will help you save water and money. If you're a landlord, you may be interested in reading HERE how you can use this to pass on your water bill to your tenants!

Water saving faucets

Faucets are responsible for up to 15% of indoor water use. Upgrading to an efficient design doesn't have to be expensive, ugly, or interfere with its use though. Why not choose a rose gold faucet? This will save you water and give you a Marie Kondo approved spark of joy!

Shower heads

First thing's first: water efficient doesn't mean low pressure. We can talk you through the options that suit your needs and budget. For a family of 4, changing your shower head can save you $315 per year. That quickly recovers the installation cost! While you're at it, you might want to install a hand held shower head - you'll thank yourself the next time you clean it!

Toilets

Everyone one knows you should use a half-flush toilet whenever possible. But did you know that the litres per flush varies? You can save up to $150 per year by upgrading to a 4 star model that only uses 4-5L per flush, instead of an older model using 12L. If you're looking for a VIP upgrade, check out the Caroma Cleanflush model here and thank us later.
